OUR MEMBERSHIP TYPES
IPREP has three types of memberships as indicated below:

Affiliate members are individuals associated with IPREP but do not hold full membership status. This category of membership will apply to individuals who may not meet all the requirements for individual membership. Affiliate members will receive certain benefits such as access to resources, networking opportunities, and participation in events, but may not have voting rights or the ability to hold office within IPREP. 

These are corporate entities who subscribe to the purpose and objectives of IPREP 

Individual membership has five sub-groups as enumerated below: 

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP TYPES

Ordinary Member

This is the basic entry level for all members with an interest in Resettlement, regardless of whether they have any academic qualification in the field or experience. No prior experience is required; all that is needed is an interest in resettlement planning and implementation.

Student

For an individual to qualify for registration as a student member, they should demonstrate interest in Resettlement and must be pursuing an ongoing undergraduate study in any field, with a valid ID and pay the attendant fees.

General Practioner

A General Practitioner is an individual who has been practicing either Resettlement Planning or implementation. They may have been registered with IPREP before as Ordinary members or may be new entrants. To become a General Practitioner (GP), one must pass a web-based General Practitioners’ Exam and pay related membership fees.

Specialist

A General Practitioner may seek to be certified as a Specialist in one or more of the following areas: Stakeholder Management, Grievance Management, Livelihoods Restoration, Physical Resettlement. To get certification as a specialist in one or more areas, a member who is a general Practitioner must pass the attendant Specialist exam and pay the relevant fees.

Team Leader

To be certified as a Team Leader, a member must have passed the four specialist exams and either present a certificate in leadership from any recognized institution or pass IPREP’s Leadership Exam and pay the attendant fees.
